During the seventy-fourth World Health Assembly held in May 2021, world health leaders from around the world recognized the need to scale up quality mental health services at all levels. Undeniably, in recent years, there has been increasing acknowledgement of the important role mental health plays in achieving global development goals.
In the UAE, not only does the government with its modern and dynamic leadership has been rising to the challenge, but also is being capable to foresee and proactively respond to future demands. The UAE preparation for the 50 year ahead is a robust modality to keep it up with leveraging our mental health regulations and services. As healthcare leaders, we look forward to scaling up the mental healthcare provisions as well as embracing the most effective tactics to get there. The involvement of the public in the decision making processes is at the heart of our approach to understanding the particular needs of our population.
